Becoming a Bat Mitzvah is a coming of age within the Jewish community. Part of this process includes participating in the broader community, building an understanding of the importance of contributing to society in  order to help make the world a better place.

 

America's community social action project, or Tikkun Olam project is to hand-make stuffed animals for the children's pediatric ward at The Stamford Hospital. The hospital supports David's Treasure Chest Toy Closet, which offers every single child that is admitted to the hospital the option to select a toy of their choosing.
